Rock Street Films North was founded in 2017 by Producer Christine Rochon, and Writer/Director Tomas Street.    With 25 years combined experience behind the scenes of the film industry in nearly every aspect of production, Rock Street brings creative and effective ways to do a lot with a little.

Their first production, FUGUE premiered at Cinefest 2018.   The film won the new filmmaker initiative Indiecan20k competition and gave them both mentorship by known Canadian Producers and Directors.   Their next projects are in early stages as they take Fugue through the festival circuit.

Looking to showcase new and exciting voices & perspectives that fight convention and treat the audience with respect, the Rock Street team want to nurture new voices as they build their brand of stories with conviction and heart.

Christine Rochon

Christine Rochon is an up and coming film producer from Northern Ontario, Canada. Dedicated to bringing compelling thought provoking stories to life, she aims to entertain and make a difference with the content she helps produce.

Her early passion in music cultivated a desire to work in the media and entertainment industry.  With small city routes and without the means to relocate, she studied communications and public relations at both university and college, a path that solidified Christine’s desire to pursue a career outside the box.

Time spent working a job in government at the Sudbury mayor’s office in an administrative and public relations role is how she networked into the entertainment industry, convincing producers early on she had the skill set for the job and would be an asset in production. With a knack for logistical organization and team leadership, working behind the scenes in film & TV came naturally.

Her artistry is found in the solutions and care she invests in producing a creative story. Playing a largely silent role offscreen, her fresh take on filmmaking and skill set is one that can only be admired while working along side her.

Tomas Street

Tomas Street has spent the majority of his life on set. Son of world renown photographer David Street and stage actress Margaret St. John, he spent much of his childhood assisting his father in photoshoots and backstage at the theatre. His love of cinema from an early age led him to his first film job before even graduating high school.

With over 20 years in the industry, Tomas’s passion for story telling has led him to work as a uniquely talented script supervisor and screen writer. His work has been optioned and produced, both on screen and on stage, including his original, award winning children’s series Kid’s Town.

Tomas has now turned his passion towards directing, writing and directing his first feature film FUGUE. The script won the IndieCan 20k competition in 2017 and was made for just $20,000 under the guidance and mentorship of Warren P. Sonoda and Avi Federgreen.
